CH recalls David Desharnais




The Canadiens announced today that the Player center David Desharnais has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs. Desharnais join the Canadiens today in Toronto.

Aged 24 years, 5'07'', 170 pounds has played in six games with the Canadiens last season, including his first career game, Nov. 25 in Pittsburgh. He scored a help and got two shots on goal, while playing an average of 8 minutes 27 seconds per game.

Desharnais is tied for first in scoring for the Bulldogs and tied for second in the AHL with 30 points (7 goals, 23 assists) in 26 games this season. One of his goals was scored on the powerplay and one shorthanded. It ranks first in the AHL in assists (23) and is tied for third in the league for aid in numerical superiority (11). In addition, he led the Bulldogs with a differential of +11. He also got 60 shots on goal and hit with 16 penalty minutes.
